A new member joins the ATIBT: welcome to Jeanicolau Simone de Lacerda!

Jeanicolau Simone de Lacerda (JSL) is a forest engineer with 37 years of experience in forestry and related fields. Dedicated to making forest-based businesses sustainable. Directly managed and coordinated teams in: Systems Analysis, Territorial Asset Identification and Promotion, Cartography, Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems, Environmental Licensing, Biodiversity Assessment, Integrating sustainability concepts into various projects across different production chains, Native species reforestation in the Atlantic Forest, Forest Inventory and Planning, Forest Research, Management Plans, Statistical Modeling, Carbon emissions reduction projects, Due Diligence, Development of models and strategies for forest-based businesses.

Jeanicolau has a demonstrated leadership in managing high-performing teams for the development, implementation, and operation of projects in major pulp, paper, and board companies. Served as a legal expert in possessory and environmental cases in São Paulo State Courts. Held positions as Forestry Director at Brasil Florestas and director at IBIO.

Jeanicolau has a extensive experience in consultancy and advisory roles, advising organizations such as Precious Woods, Vale, TNC Brasil, CLUA, Votorantim, Instituto Aço Brasil, IBIO, Total Energies, Investment Funds, and others in the sugar-alcohol sector. Developed metrics focused on quantifying biodiversity. Currently also is serving as chairman of the board of PEFC Brazil.
