Global Timber A/S is a well-established and independent Danish-owned supplier of hardwood. The company’s headquarters and warehouse are located in Aarhus, Denmark. The main warehouse contains the largest stock of best quality hardwood in Northern Europe.
The company emerged from Internationalt Hårdttræ, a timber company founded by Lars Munch Christensen and whose roots stretch back to the 1970s.
Global Timber is managed by Anders Bitzer, Kasper Fredsted and Søren Vinther. The management operates and develops the enterprise based on a respected business model that includes ethics and the development and maintenance of trade relationships.
Global Timber recognizes and supports the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes™ (PEFC™). Global Timber has implemented the EU security system that prevents trade in illegal timber and is active member of Danish Timber Trade Federation.
