After obtaining his diploma in civil engineering from GREF and having spent 4 years in French Guyana, Nicolas Perthuisot started his international consulting business in 1999 for ONF international and then in collaboration with various research departments (Oréade Breche, Terea), for which he carried out missions in the Congo Basin, but also in the Amazon and South-East Asia.
Through a wide range of consultations (evaluation of cooperation projects, technical studies on low-impact logging and management, assistance and advice to logging companies, environmental impact assessments, support and training to forest ad- ministrations in control strategies , APV and FLEGT process …), Nicolas Perthuisot gradually acquires a solid and diversified competence in the management and sustainable logging of tropical forests, which he puts at the service of forest certification from 2005 onwards. In 2007, he became FSC auditor for Bureau Veritas certification, and then in 2016, for GFA certification. Since 2013, he has been acertified trainer by Bureau Veritas in forest certification. To date, it has carried out more than one hundred forest certification audits according to many systems(FSC, PEFC/PAFC,certificationstandardof OLBlegality, TLTV…) in Africa, South America, Asiaand in Europe. Nicolas Perthuisot alsoconducts in Francea career asa Forest Expert, including forest management of privateproperties, expertise in technical and market value, health and safety expertise of trees, environmental and biodiversity studies … He is an expert with the Agen TGI and a member of the Conseil Supérieur of the Association des Experts Forestiers de France.
