Welcome to our new member STC, Société Thanry Congo

STC is a Société Anonyme Unipersonnelle founded in 2001.

The company began operations on the Ipendja FMU in September 2000, in the Republic of Congo.

STC's areas of activity include: logging, wood processing (sawing and peeling), and the purchase, sale or brokerage of raw or processed wood.

STC's infrastructure has undergone considerable development, and the industrial site now mainly comprises the following processing facilities:
- 3 processing units, including two sawmills and a peeling unit.
- A drying unit
With regard to its purchasing policy, Thanry Congo states that it only buys wood from legal and verifiable sources. All suppliers must comply with forestry regulations and provide documents proving the traceability and legality of the wood (logging permits, transport certificates, customs documents, etc.).

Today, the company employs over 350 people and contributes to local employment and social development by supporting its employees and local populations in accessing healthcare through the operation of the Thanry company's medico-social center, the implementation of local development projects through FDL projects and the Ipendja FMU consultation committee.

STC has recently been certified OLB by Bureau Veritas, and is in talks with PAFC Basin du Congo to obtain PEFC-PAFC certification. Terea is supporting the company in this process.
