The World Resources Institute (WRI) is calling for applications to recruit a consultant who will be responsible for raising awareness among Cameroonian loggers about sharing their documents on the Open Timber Portal (OTP).
The objective of the mission is to increase the level of participation in the OTP by Cameroonian logging companies by increasing the number of participating companies and the number of valid documents shared by each company.
The person recruited will have to sensitize all logging companies listed by MINFOF, as well as managers of communal forests and holders of Sale of Standing Volume permit, in order to establish a regular educational dialogue.
The consultant will thus have to propose an approach to establish this dialogue and a strategy to involve the managers of communal forests and holders of Sale of Standing Volume permit, and the professional unions of the forest/wood sector.
The service will ideally start in December 2021 and end on 30 September 2022.
