At the beginning of this year, we learn that Ben Gunneberg is leaving his position as CEO after 22 years at PEFC. ATIBT wishes him the best for the future.
PEFC warmly thanks Ben Gunneberg for his years of work in the service of PEFC values. Eduardo Rojas Briales, Chair of PEFC International, underlines his "outstanding service and commitment to PEFC, as well as his significant accomplishments over his distinguished tenure".
The entire PEFC alliance is grateful to Mr. Gunneberg for his enthusiasm and perseverance, which have greatly contributed to the development and recognition of PEFC internationally.
Pending the recruitment of a successor, Michael Berger, Deputy Secretary General and Head of the PEFC Technical Unit, has taken on the role of Acting Secretary General from beginning of January.
