The Necotrans group is a key player in Africa’s specialised logistics sector. With a staff of over 5,000 employees and 126 offices in over 40 countries, including 25 in Africa, the Necotrans group generates over 95% of its turnover in Africa.
In 2014, Necotrans experienced strong growth thanks to new investments in the bulk carrier terminal in Dakar (Senegal) and the port of Brazzaville (Republic of Congo). In September 2015, Necotrans won the tender for the multipurpose terminal in the port of Kribi (Cameroon). In November, the group acquired the MCK company, which specialises in mining logistics and engineering in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Necotrans provides logistical solutions that are in line with the needs of the continent along with a versatile network and complementary activities (port and logistics activities, transport commission, oil and mining logistics, vehicle distribution).
Why did you decide to join ATIBT?
« The maritime logistics of logs in Central Africa is part of the Necotrans group’s genesis, and includes the launch of Necoship, which is dedicated to the maritime consignment of logging ships, as well as the first Getma agencies in both Cameroon and Gabon. Today, the group revisits its traditional businesses via its implantations on the Brazzaville river terminal and the Kribi multipurpose terminal (Cameroon).
