As a result of the merger of the former Fébeltex and Fébelbois organizations, Fedustria asbl represents companies in the textile, timber and furniture industries. These sectors represent in Belgium nearly 1,900 companies and more than 38,000 employees, generating a turnover of 11.5 billion euros. This makes it one of the most important sectors of industry in Belgium.
Fedustria’s mission is to help companies grow, by preserving and strengthening their competitiveness.
For Fedustria, this mission means :
interventions as a representative of these sectors
an active defence of the common interests of the affiliated companies
a wide range of specialized services
the creation of a common training and meeting space for members
and accurate and timely dissemination of information
Since 1 January 2017, the activities of the Belgian Timber Import Federation (FBCIB) have been incorporated into Fedustria in an « Import Timber Import » group.
« Fedustria joined ATIBT for its expertise on tropical timber and the importance of these species for Belgian timber importers. »
