The Association of Tropical Foresters (AFT), who recently visited ATIBT, and the association Silva, Trees, Forests and Societies have joined forces to follow up the former magazine « Le Flamboyant » Network International Tropical Trees (RIAT), by launching a newsletter « Les feuilles du Flamboyant » (in French). Both structures advocate « sustainable, balanced and effective management of tropical wooded areas » and an approach tied to realities on the field and giving priority to the general interest.
This letter is meant to spread widely, and to contribute to the dialogue between the different parts of the tropical forestry. Planned themes such as certification, wood energy, protected areas or biodiversity are in tune with the issues faced by ATIBT and its members and partners.
