From 8 to 13 October, the FSC General Assembly will be held in Vancouver.
At this meeting, several motions will be proposed and voted.
ATIBT proposed 3 motions and seconded another, presented by Silver Taiga Foundation, a Russian Foundation, which concern all the Motion 65 relating to the implementation of the Intact Forest Landscapes (IFL), on which the ATIBT and its members wish to eliminate the risk this motion poses to the economic viability of certified forest companies within the perimeter, as well as to states and populations.
Today, ATIBT is carrying out a communication campaign to make these motions known and to be adopted, as they make it possible to better protect the identified IFLs while preserving the economic and social balance of the various stakeholders.
