The name "eyoum" gathers several species of exotic African timber marketed under this name. They are light pinkish brown to very dark reddish brown, heavy to very heavy and hard to very hard. Eyoum woods are very durable materials, especially used for the construction of railway sleepers and bridges, as well as for hydraulic works.
