FSC Forest Week is a global campaign to raise awareness and understanding of the value of FSC certification and to mobilize support for forest conservation.
Formerly known as "FSC Friday", FSC is expanding the campaign to a full week in 2022, while focusing the content on forest-related sustainability issues. This campaign will now take place every year at the end of September. This year, it will take place from September 24 to 30.
ATIBT supports the FSC mission to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world's forests. Through its Fair&Precious program, it encourages the purchase of certified sustainably managed timber.
Created more than 25 years ago internationally, and in 2007 in France, FSC is a label and a certification system that ensures responsible forest management by ensuring that social, environmental and economic issues are respected. For a product to receive this label, the entire production chain must be certified.
The organization has a democratic and balanced governance, as it is composed of 3 chambers (economic, social and environmental) which gather various types of actors: companies, industrialists, foresters, associations, NGOs, scientists, unions, brands and distributors.
FSC France, with whom ATIBT regularly collaborates, also takes advantage of this strong moment to continue to celebrate its 15 years and invites you to follow them on their social networks where many supports will be put online during this week.
