In early October 2022, PAFC Cameroon, PAFC Congo and PAFC Gabon will organize an open day in their respective countries to exchange with stakeholders involved in forest management in their countries. During this day, you will meet the PAFC team, PEFC international, and many other stakeholders.
The purpose of these meetings is to present the PAFC Congo Basin certification scheme and to allow stakeholders to better understand this certification system. Among other things, you will be able to exchange on issues related to the functioning and implementation of the PAFC certification, but also on market opportunities.
After the morning presentations, a large part of the afternoon will be dedicated to an exchange with the audience.

Following these open days, PAFC will organize a technical training dedicated to the companies and relating to the standard of certification of sustainable management PAFC Congo Basin, the standard of chain of custody and information in connection with other technical tools of support to the implementation of this standard of forest management PAFC Congo Basin.
During this one and a half day training, you will explore the main themes of the sustainable forest management standard as well as some of its specificities. The training will also cover chain of custody certification, which guarantees the traceability of wood from the forest to the finished product.
This training will allow any company interested in the PAFC Congo Basin sustainable management certification to have an overview of the requirements, to benefit from the advice of experts who will be able to answer their questions and to be put in touch with the resource persons who can help to achieve the requirements of an internationally recognized standard.
Each company wishing to participate can nominate a delegation of max. two people. In order for this training to be of maximum value to the company, it would be preferable that the people selected work on certification, development operations, social aspects and/or chain of custody management.
