ETT (East - Teak - Thompson) is a company that includes the former East teak fine hardwoods Inc. and Thompson mahogany Inc. ETT is a long-standing member of the IWPA and recently joined the ATIBT.
East Teak fine hardwoods has been in existence since 1970 and owns two import woodyards, one in South Carolina (USA) and the other in Washington State (USA).
East Teak fine hardwoods imported a small amount of African wood, a lot of Brazilian wood and teak from Burma before ceasing to import due to environmental risks.
Thompson Mahogany has been in business since 1863 and has been importing timber from Brazil and Africa for many years.
East Teak Fine Hardwoods acquired 100% of Thompson Mahogany in 2010. Between 2010 and 2022, the companies operated independently of each other. In 2022, they merged into a new company called ETT fine woods.
