It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mrs Blandine L'Or Ouogouia, General Delegate of the Cameroon Timber Industry Association (GFBC).
She passed away on 28 February 2025 in Cairo, Egypt, where Mrs Blandine L'Or Ouogouia had just undergone a major operation.
A woman of character, Blandine's commitment and leadership left their mark on the GFBC and all those who had the good fortune to know her and work alongside her.
Blandine L'Or Ouogouia had been made a “Chevalier de l'Ordre de la Valeur du Cameroun”, by way of exception, by the HEAD OF STATE following her strong involvement in the negotiations in the run-up to the signing of the Voluntary Partnership Agreement - FLEGT between Cameroon and the European Union.
