Nature+ asbl and Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech (University of Liège) are organizing training workshops on wildlife management in production forests, to be held from 12 to 14 March 2025 at the Hibiscus Hotel in Libreville, Gabonand from 18 to 20 March 2025 at the Merina Hotel in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
This workshop will also be an opportunity to present the new wildlife guide produced thanks to the support of the Program for the Promotion of Certified Forest Exploitation (PPECF), implemented by the Commission des Forêts d'Afrique Centrale (COMIFAC) through funding from KFW, the Fonds Français pour l'Environnement Mondial (FFEM) and the ECOFAC 6 program.
DAY 1 : The first day is dedicated to business executives and decision-makers to discuss the strategic and operational issues of wildlife management in production forests with institutional and economic actors.
DAYS 2 & 3 (registration required): The technical training workshop, intended for field workers, landscape architects and those responsible for the wildlife aspect of forestry companies, will focus on the development and implementation of a wildlife management and protection plan.
