In order to strengthen the existing team implementing the activities of the Internal Wood Market (IWM) project in the Republic of Congo, ATIBT welcomes a new recruit.
In collaboration with the Congolese authorities, and with the support of the European Union, FAO and other partners, the Internal Wood Market (MIB) project aims to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of the domestic wood sector, while supporting socio-economic development. Armand Blaise Diamviza joins the existing ATIBT team and will work closely with Alain Tsiopsop, Project Manager.
A Congolese national, Armand graduated as an Ingénieur des Techniques des Eaux et Forêts from the École Nationale des Eaux et Forêts du Cap Estérias (Gabon -Université Omar BONGO). After eight years in the Congolese civil service in various management positions, he continued his studies in France, where he obtained a DESS in Wood Techniques (1993) and a DEA in Industrial Systems Engineering (1994).
From 1996 to 2016, he worked in the private sector, notably at FORALAC and then AFRIWOOD INDUSTRIE, where he held various management positions in processing and forestry. During this period, he also developed an independent sawmill business and became advisor to the president of the UNIBOIS union. His career has enabled him to acquire in-depth expertise in sustainable forest management, wood processing and rural business management.
Armand is delighted to join the ATIBT Congo team and the extended ATIBT family, and to put his skills at the service of our projects. The whole ATIBT team wishes Armand every success in his new role.
