Established in Gabon in 1982, Somivab specialises in the manufacture of sleepers for railways and the sawing of tropical hardwoods. Somivab has two industrial sites, the main site located in Essassa (24 km from Libreville) and the forestry and industrial site in Biliba (390 km from Libreville). The annual production capacity is 40,000 m3. A dynamic and flexible team and a decade of know-how in the processing of tropical hardwoods guarantee product quality and the punctuality of deliveries. In March 2010, Somivab obtained FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification, which guarantees the traceability of its products.
