The Chambre Syndicale de la Facture Instrumentale brings together manufacturers and craftsmen who make, repair, restore, distribute and export musical instruments and related accessories. Concerned about the sustainability of its materials, the company decided to become a member of the ATIBT.
It also includes dealers, five professional associations of artisan luthiers (Aladfi, Glaaf, Aplg, Unfi, Uffip), the chamber of dealers (CSMM) and the professional organisation of piano technicians (Europiano France)...
The Chambre Syndicale represents the profession in all its facets in dealings with public authorities and national and international bodies.
A page of the CSFI website is devoted to the Ecological Transition. CSFI states that "an ecological transition aims to integrate sustainable practices into the design, manufacture and distribution of musical instruments, in order to minimise their carbon footprint, preserve natural resources and promote a more environmentally friendly future for generations to come".
