The École régionale post universitaire d’aménagement et gestion intégrés des forets et des territoires tropicaux ÉRAIFT in partnership with the US Department of Forestry – USFS- is offering two scholarships to Central African candidates.
The Ecole Régionale Postuniversitaire d'Aménagement et de Gestion intégrés des Forêts et Territoires tropicaux (ERAIFT), a category 2 center under the auspices of UNESCO, provides postgraduate education for natural resource specialists in the Congo Basin region. The U.S. Department of Forestry's International Programs (USFS-IP) supports capacity building in natural resource management in the Congo Basin. The partnership aims to ensure that human capital in the COMIFAC region is trained effectively and responsibly.
A number of scholarships have already been made available to ERAIFT for human capital training in Central Africa, mainly in 3 countries: the DRC, the Republic of Congo and Cameroon.
This national call for applications is aimed at nationals of the Central African Republic (CAR). The scholarships will enable students to follow courses at ERAIFT for 4 semesters, i.e. 2 years in accordance with the LMD system. This program thus makes an effective contribution to the implementation of sustainable forest management in the Congo Basin, as training and scientific research are at the heart of sustainable development.
