The members and partners of ATIBT will therefore continue to reflect on the theme "What future for certified concessions in the Congo Basin? "
The first two Think Tank of our association took place in May 2018 and January 2019. The third edition, initially scheduled for March 2020 in Cameroon, had to be postponed because of the pandemic.
This 3rd edition is finally coming, on the November 2nd and 3rd 2020.
In view of health news, we are adapting the format of our Think Tank. It will be mainly by videoconference, and will include a series of 4 webinars of 2 hours.
The panels will be, targeted on each of the following themes :
For each of the themes, synthetic presentations will take place, followed by debates. A large part will be devoted to exchanges and discussions, as was the case in previous editions.
Thus, progress will be presented, on the results recorded, the challenges, to report on the work in progress on which an approach has been built, and also the alerts, to report on the unknowns that weigh on the sector. These alerts will probably be the basis for discussion.
We will attempt to tackle in depth essential topics, such as the fight against illegal timber, which constitutes profoundly unfair competition against the committed operators of the sector, but also environmental services, IFLs, launch on the market of little-known timber species or even cooperation with Chinese associations for the implementation of legality control mechanisms for tropical timber imports.
Participants can join the ATIBT team in Nogent sur Marne, within the limit of the places available.
