The ATIBT operates mainly in Central and West Africa. In Central Africa, about 50 million ha are devoted to logging, out of a total of almost 300 million ha of forest. Approximately 20% of the concession area, or about 11 million ha, is certified under legality or sustainable management schemes such as FSC® or PAFC-PEFC.
