The European co-legislators reached agreement on postponing the entry into force of the EUDR regulation to December 2025. At the same time, the information system for due diligence declarations is now operational.
Agreement on the postponement of the regulation:
During negotiations on December 3, the EU co-legislators (European Parliament, Council and Commission) reached an agreement on the EUDR regulation. Here are the main decisions:
For this agreement to enter into force, the text must be validated by the Parliament at its plenary session (December 16-19) and by the Council, then published in the EU's Official Journal before the end of the year.
Launch of the EUDR information system
At the same time, the European Commission announced the official launch of the EDUR information system, now available for the management and submission of due diligence declarations.
Please note that both the LIVE server and the ACCEPTANCE training server are available in all official languages of the European Union.
Detailed information on the information system, including training videos and a detailed user guide outlining the steps involved in registration, is available on the dedicated website. Training sessions explaining the system's functionalities are currently underway. Further training sessions will be announced on the EU website. In addition, the implementing act for the information system has been published in the Official Journal of the EU, and the European Commission has announced that it will go live.
