Below we relay a call for public consultation from Preferred by Nature, which recently updated its Sustainability Framework. Aligned with the requirements of the EUDR, this standard allows companies to prepare for the entry into force of the new regulation. Training courses will soon be organized for auditors and engineering offices, as well as for companies.
We are excited to share with you, that we have updated our Sustainability Framework. We are now inviting you to provide your feedback in a public consultation.
Preferred by Nature's Sustainability Framework has been developed with inspiration from existing sustainability schemes and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Importantly, in this new version, the Framework has also been comprehensively aligned with the latest text of the EU Deforestation Regulation adopted by the European Parliament on 19 April 2023. Note that it will be revised again, if necessary, to align with the final version of the regulation once this is published in the official journal of the European Union.
Our goal is to ensure that our Framework covers relevant sustainability issues, including the environment, human rights and well-being, as well as the climate. It is a universal framework designed to help both big and small companies achieve their sustainability goals and regulatory obligations.
We understand that sustainability is a journey, and the Sustainability Framework serves as a building block for continuous improvement. Whether you are a small-scale forest or farm operator or a large manufacturer sourcing multiple commodities from around the world, this framework can be tailored to your needs.
