Two new videos are now available on youtube, the first presenting Asia Congo's wood traceability steps, and the second the company's VPA Flegt readiness.
In the two videos produced by ATIBT, we give the floor to Sindouss Tanguy, coordinator of ASIA Congo's management unit. The first video looks at the company's traceability system, covering the various stages in the timber harvesting, processing and exporting process, as well as the means put in place to justify the timber's origin.
The second video concerns the FLEGT VPA, and the state of preparation of the Asia Congo society. This agreement requires companies to export only “legal” timber to the European Union. To this end, companies must hold a certificate of legality and obtain a FLEGT license for each timber shipment.
