SEEF in Cameroon and SFIK in Gabon, two new PAFC Congo Basin certified companies.
ATIBT congratulates both companies on this breakthrough.
Société d'Exploitation des Etablissements Fombelle (SEEF) obtains PAFC certification for its 149,079 hectares of forest and two processing plants.
SEEF becomes the first PAFC-certified company in Cameroon, leading the way for all other companies in the country. This fine achievement is the result of hard work by whole the teams to meet PAFC requirements and the demands of their customers.
"The PAFC Congo Basin standard is a powerful tool that has enabled our company to optimize our resources and control our costs. PAFC's requirements provide a real structuring benefit that is perfectly suited to medium-sized companies wishing to commit to more sustainable operations. What's more, the pragmatic and operational aspects of these requirements make them easier to implement. For SEEF, obtaining PAFC certification and the PEFC label offers greater security for the marketing of its products, and peace of mind for its customers” told Pierre Mancel the head of the company.
Société Forestière et Industrielle de Koulamoutou (SFIK) obtains PAFC Congo Basin certification for its 135,843 hectares of forest.
SFIK has reached a key milestone by obtaining PAFC Congo Basin certification for 135,843 hectares of forest, setting an example for all other forestry companies in the GSEZ group and for medium-sized companies in Gabon in general.
With this distinction, both companies reaffirm their commitment to ecologically and socially responsible practices, while reinforcing the competitiveness of their products on international markets, where traceability and sustainability of resources are becoming essential criteria.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that PEFC is still looking for its PAFC Congo Basin Regional Coordinator.
